Outside Salesperson

Position Summary:

For this position, we really need an exceptional person—someone that understands both the human and technical sides of technology. You’ll use your excellent sales, client service, business development, and communication skills and experience to help grow the company through new business acquisition.

Major Responsibilities:

  • New business development and lead generation
  • Generate leads for potential new clients in targeted markets; execute and participate in lead generation campaigns
  • Follow up on leads provided by Hyperride, vendors, partners, and clients
  • Participate in business networking activities as defined
  • Participate in trade shows, presentations, and other events

Sales activities

  • Adhere to the Hyperride sales process
  • Conduct initial needs analysis meetings with clients using a thorough discovery process
  • Work with technical and service delivery teams to create solutions that are responsive to client business and technical needs; create, present, and follow up on proposals
  • Manage entire sales process with prospects and existing clients; close opportunities to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and objectives
  • Conduct a smooth hand-off of new business to operations and technical teams

Qualifications

A well-rounded, experienced sales person will really thrive in this position. Yes, you’ve got to be responsible, accountable, and professional. You’ve got to have a strong sales aptitude, be able to work well in a team, and be ultra-responsive to clients’ needs. But most of all, you need to bring a genuine enthusiasm for what technology can do for people. Plus, of course, all these important things:

  • Minimum 5 years of outside solution sales experience with responsibility for and demonstrated success with closing sales
  • BA or BS degree
  • Experience working for an information technology, telecom, or business machines company
  • Proven success carrying an individual quota and meeting quota objectives
  • Proven success working independently; excellent people, communication, and organizational skills; ability to focus and get things   done quickly, efficiently, and completely
  • Honesty, integrity, and a genuine desire to help
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Unwavering commitment to providing superior client service
  • Track record of continual self-improvement
  • Confidence to take on challenges and responsibilities without waiting to be told what to do, while also being willing to work collaboratively with team members to develop and sell solutions
  • Ability to provide reliable transportation, a current and valid Florida state driver license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Ability to work from home with reliable access to a high speed internet connection

Knowledge, skills, and experience with the following

  • Prospecting and new business development
  • Developing and executing successful lead generation campaigns
  • Working with clients to identify business and people needs and the best technical solution that will meet those needs
  • Working with a broad range of solutions (services and products) to prepare proposals for clients
  • Closing sales opportunities
  • Managing and thoroughly documenting opportunities throughout the entire sales process
  • Managing sales opportunities and client accounts using a CRM system
  • Professional and social networking
  • High level of skill with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Desirable Attributes

Knowledge, skills, and experience with the following:

  • Selling IT consulting, project, and managed services into small and mid sized companies
  • Cold calling
  • Knowledge of IT systems and processes
  • Technical service or operations support
  • Autotask PSA
  • QuoteWerks, Quosal, or similar tools
  • Solid understanding of internet-based tools
  • Business ownership experience, or other entrepreneurial experience, skills or qualities

Compensation:

Compensation for this position is comprised of a base salary plus commission, depending on your experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
